The triac power regulator is designed to regulate the frequency of rotation (revolutions) and ensure optimal operating conditions for sewing and kitchen machines, a hand-held portable tool, where an AC collector motor, electric heating and lighting devices, and a soldering iron power are used as an executive element.
Suitable as a budget regulator for most power tools (grinders, drills, punchers, planers, etc.). The radiator practically does not heat up at low powers up to 800-1000 watts, depending on the nature of the load. With a load of more than 1 kW, it is recommended to increase the area of ​​the radiator or add forced cooling. For example, in vacuum cleaners during the repair of failed "native" regulators, it would be a good decision to install the regulator so as to let air flow through it.
It should also be noted that the maximum output power of a device that is connected to a regulator of this kind will drop by 4-5%. This is due to the fact that the opening of the triac occurs approximately at the moment when the sinusoid is in the amplitude of 90-100 volts.
This module cannot regulate reactive loads. You cannot connect devices such as energy-saving lamps, consumer electronics, LED lamps and lights, transformers and similar devices, asynchronous AC motors.
