Soft start module for UMZCH power supply.
Built according to a widespread and well-established scheme.
This module is connected directly to the 220V network before the primary winding of the transformer of the audio frequency power amplifier.
When the amplifier is turned on, the capacities in the power supply are discharged. The charging current of these capacitors for a short time is practically equal to the short-circuit current, which in turn can lead to failure of the transformer windings, the diode bridge, or the capacitors themselves. In especially loaded cases (60,000 microfarads and more), automation can work in the distribution panel 220V at the entrance to the room. In order to avoid the above phenomena and in the case of a capacitance of more than 10,000 microfarads on the shoulder in the power supply of the amplifier, a soft start module is absolutely necessary.
The principle of operation of this module is based on limiting the inrush current, which initially flows through powerful limiting resistors. After 1.5-2 seconds, the relay activates and shorts these resistors.
The board has a 1A fuse (possibly 2.5A / 5A), which protects the device from short-circuit in normal operation.
Provides normal operation of the amplifier up to 1.5kW of power.

Includes 4 racks with bolts and nuts M2 for mounting in the housing.
