Conclusions

A very high quality volume control that leaves all the slider, resistive stereo controls far behind. It is practically impossible to achieve such accuracy in channels using a conventional stereo potentiometer due to the technology of applying a resistive layer and internal micro-backlashes of such potentiometers. The principle of operation of this RG is based on switching between high-precision SMD metal-film resistors, which are soldered inside on two separate printed circuit boards. With loudness off, this module makes little or no difference to the audio signal, other than changing its level. Switchable loudness increases the versatility of the module and allows you to adjust the tonal balance at low amplifier output levels.

Summary: Precision volume control built using quality components. The module is able to compete with such popular solutions as Nikitin's RG or Galetny RG. Switchable loudness allows you to get away from the correction circuits in the final amplifiers, which only reduces the overall level of distortion. The volume control can be purchased from us at kit-amp.com. The module is recommended for building a high-quality stereo power amplifier.
